Chinese Horoscope Contest- Last Call!

One final week to get your submission in before the full moon of August 31st; deadline is midnight August 30th for 


Find your Chinese Animal Sign, and you've found the Gallery which needs your contribution (if you don't know your Chinese Animal Sign, please check here; you'll find three animal signs in there, primary of which is your DAY sign, but if you'd prefer, work on either your MONTH sign, or YEAR sign, or ALL THREE! You can enter this contest as many times as you'd like, but try to limit yourself to the BEST work you can do, and not the MOST work you can do ):


Your artwork or poetry must illustrate your animal sign, or the sign that inspires you most, and/or some aspect of that sign's characteristics (whether positive or negative), as listed below, and should consist of ONLY your foreground subject with a white background (or, at least, as uncluttered and neutral a background as possible):




You are welcome to use any or all of the deviantART categories of art to express yourself; Muro art, photography, traditional art, digital art, sculpture, poetry... Quick sketches, hugely detailed paintings, Haiku, or epic stories-- all are encouraged.
NOTE: Minimum DPI (dots per inch) for each scanned image is 150; maximum DPI is 300.


The deadline to contribute to your Animal Gallery will be by the end of the day on August 30th, 2012.


There will be a total of three prizes for the entire contest; 1st prize, 2nd prize, and 3rd prize awarded to the three best pieces overall, as judged by members of the Tangentialists.
